What’s common between Katrina, Priyanka, Deepika & Vidya

Yeah, we know they all are actresses and drop dead gorgeous but Milap the maker of ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ will make this glam queens pose together in his film.

The cameos with these five ladies are expected to be shot next week, just three weeks ahead of the film’s release creating a major last-minute pre-release situation. Says Milap, “That’s true. I’m roping in the names you’ve mentioned. Shooting at the last minute would be no problem because all of the star appearances are in the first reel, so I just have to re-edit the initial reel.

As we many of us know that the film otherwise has no big star value, the only star is Ritesh Deshmukh with one film old Jacqueline Fernandez and two film old Ruslaan Mumtaz.

We don’t know what is Milap thinking of, hmmmmm might be something like SRK’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ title song where Farhan Khan did a Manmohan Desia and lifted the ‘Naseeb’ of the film.

But one thing is sure the roping of these Bollywood bombshells even for a short period will definitely provide enough promotion material for the makers who can later hope for a better price for a Ritesh, Jacqueline project.

The wait seems to be over now; we are talking about Mani Rathnam’s Raavana/ Raavan. There is no need of any introduction when it come to Mani Rathnam, because his very name pulls crowds to theatres. The veteran director is currently busy with his big budget bilingual tentatively titled Raavana in Tamil and Raavan in Hindi.

Earlier, there were reports that a 90-second teaser of the Hindi version would be launched soon. Now, the latest we hear is that the film will grace theatres in July; the director plans to release the film simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil. Sources add that the ace director is working overtime to finish the film by July. However, Mani decided to re-shoot a couple scenes he was not too satisfied with. With the re-shoot, Mani now feels that Raavana has come out very well.

Raavana, said to be the modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, revolves around Raavana, the ruler of Lanka, who kidnapped Sita. The story culminates with Sita supporting Raavana instead of Rama, who suspects her chastity after having spent so much time in Raavana’s custody.

Vikram plays the villain. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are the lead pair in Hindi, while Vikram will play the lead opposite Aishwarya in Tamil. Music is by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman. Raavana is produced by Mani Rathnam’s sister Sharda under Rathnam’s banner Madras Talkies.
